Whilst Dr David McKay is on leave, an experienced ophthalmic surgeon, Dr Riyaz Bhikoo will be doing a locum to provide care for my Launceston and Ulverstone patients. Riyaz will be available for appointments from 4 July to 28 October.
Dr Bhikoo obtained his medical degree in New Zealand graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2009 and becoming a RANZCO Fellow in 2020. Riyaz has a subspecialty in surgical and medical retina.
I feel very confident in leaving my new and existing patients in the capable hands of Riyaz to ensure patient management is maintained to the highest standards.
